Specialist Family Support Worker Band 8 - Darlington in Darlington, United Kingdom. This temporary Social UK opportunity is being handled by Verovian Social for a local authority or social care client. Role focus - Darlington are piloting parts of the Families First Reforms within statutory social care, we are piloting alternatively qualified (non Social Worker) roles completing statutory Child In Need work under the support and supervision of a Social Work Team Manager - You will be responsible for undertaking children and family assessments and case holding child in need cases - You will have the support from social workers and alternatively qualified workers - You will benefit from being part of a team and having regular reflective supervision - The post is 37 hours per week - The post is blended working with the ability to work from home or the office, however as this is a role working directly with families and children who need help and support, there is a large percentage of the role which involved being within the office or delivering support to families in their homes Candidate profile - Relevant social care experience in a UK local authority, community, safeguarding or provider setting. - Right to work, professional references and role-specific compliance before placement. - Children's services experience, including statutory, safeguarding, assessment or family support work where required.
