Adult Social Worker N8 - Newcastle in Newcastle, United Kingdom. This temporary Social UK opportunity is being handled by Verovian Social for a local authority or social care client. Role focus - We have agreement for one agency Social Worker for Adult Social CarePoint, initially for 4 weeks to assist with some work at the front door of social care in Newcastle - Skills required include knowledge and understanding of the Care Act, experience of working with carers and completing carers assessments, knowledge of the mental capacity act an ability to work in a fast paced social work team Candidate profile - Social Work England registration or confirmed eligibility where the role requires qualified social work practice. - Relevant social care experience in a UK local authority, community, safeguarding or provider setting. - Right to work, professional references and role-specific compliance before placement. - Adult services, hospital discharge, assessment or community social care experience where relevant. Pay and representation - Public rate shown: GBP 21.70/hr PAYE. - Verovian will confirm availability, compliance position, location fit and consent before any client submission. - Client identity and full submission details are handled through the recruiter-led process.

Role scope

  • Support assessment, care planning, safeguarding and review activity.

Pay, rota and consent

Published pay/rate: GBP 21.70/hr PAYE. Working pattern: 2026-07-27 to 2026-08-22; 09:00-17:00. Setting: Local authority, community social care or provider service.
