Role focus - We are seeking an experienced and motivated Social Worker to join our busy Mental Health Social Work Team - This role offers the opportunity to work with adults with mental health or substance use needs and their carers, delivering high-quality, person-centred interventions that promote independence, wellbeing, safety and positive outcomes - The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload, undertaking assessments, support planning, safeguarding enquiries and risk management within a statutory adult social care framework - You will work autonomously whilst contributing effectively to building positive relationships with individuals, carers, families, health partners and community organisations - Key duties include: • Undertaking Care Act 2014 assessments, reviews and eligibility determinations for adults with care and support needs and carers - • Completing strengths-based assessments using our Ways to Wellbeing Conversation model and developing creative, outcome-focused support plans that maximise independence and utilise community resources - • Identifying, assessing and managing risk, including complex safeguarding concerns, and undertaking safeguarding enquiries in accordance with statutory guidance and local procedures - • Applying professional curiosity and analytical skills to gather, assess and triage information from multiple sources to inform decision-making Candidate profile - Social work registration with Social Work England, SSSC, Social Care Wales or NISCC as applicable to the role location, or confirmed eligibility where qualified practice is required. - Relevant social care experience in a UK local authority, community, safeguarding or provider setting. - Right to work, professional references and role-specific compliance before placement. - Adult services, hospital discharge, assessment or community social care experience where relevant. Pay and representation - Public rate shown: GBP 21.70/hr PAYE. - Verovian will confirm availability, compliance position, location fit and consent before any client submission. - Client identity and full submission details are handled through the recruiter-led process.

Pay, rota and consent

Published pay/rate: GBP 21.70/hr PAYE. Working pattern: 2026-08-17 to 2026-12-07; 09:30-17:00. Setting: Local authority, community social care or provider service.
