Adults Social Worker (Qualified) - Redcar And Cleveland in Redcar And Cleveland, United Kingdom. Role focus - To work within the Adult Access Team, undertaking screening, triage and proportionate assessment of referrals received by Adult Social Care - The post holder will be responsible for gathering information, assessing risk, determining appropriate outcomes, and ensuring individuals receive timely advice, support, safeguarding intervention or onward referral in accordance with statutory duties, local policies and professional standards - Key Responsibilities Screen and assess new referrals and contacts received by Adult Social Care - Gather and analyse information from individuals, families, professionals and partner agencies to inform decision-making - Undertake strengths-based conversations and proportionate assessments to identify needs, risks and desired outcomes - Apply relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and safeguarding adults procedures - Identify and manage safeguarding concerns, applying local threshold guidance and making recommendations regarding Section 42 enquiries where appropriate - Provide information, advice and signposting to individuals and carers to promote independence and prevent escalation of need Candidate profile - Social work registration with Social Work England, SSSC, Social Care Wales or NISCC as applicable to the role location, or confirmed eligibility where qualified practice is required. - Relevant social care experience in a UK local authority, community, safeguarding or provider setting. - Right to work, professional references and role-specific compliance before placement. - Adult services, hospital discharge, assessment or community social care experience where relevant. Pay, rota and consent
Published pay/rate: GBP 154.99/hr PAYE. Working pattern: 2026-09-28 to 2026-12-24; 08:30-17:00. Setting: Local authority, community social care or provider service.
