Role focus - We're looking for an experienced Agency Social Worker to join our dynamic Pre-Birth Team, supporting vulnerable families during pregnancy and ensuring babies have the safest possible start in life - About the Role: You'll work closely with expectant parents, partner agencies, and safeguarding professionals to assess risk, provide support, and create positive outcomes for unborn babies and their families - As a Pre-Birth Social Worker, you will: Complete comprehensive pre-birth assessments and risk analyses - Work directly with expectant parents to identify strengths, needs, and risks - Develop and implement safeguarding plans to protect unborn babies - Lead Child in Need, Child Protection, and pre-proceedings work where required - Build strong partnerships with health professionals, midwives, and multi-agency teams - Prepare high-quality reports and present evidence at meetings and court proceedings when necessary Candidate profile - Social Work England registration or confirmed eligibility where the role requires qualified social work practice. - Relevant social care experience in a UK local authority, community, safeguarding or provider setting. - Right to work, professional references and role-specific compliance before placement. - Children's services experience, including statutory, safeguarding, assessment or family support work where required. Pay, rota and consent
Published pay/rate: GBP 24.95/hr PAYE. Working pattern: 2026-07-19 to 2026-09-30; 08:30-17:00. Setting: Local authority, community social care or provider service.
