Role focus - We are seeking 2 Senior Social Worker's to cover maternity leave within our Children in Care Service for 9-months - We are based in Seaham, Durham and offer flexibility around working from home and in the office, with an ask to be office based at least 1-2 days per week for duty and team meeting purposes - We have a free car park next to the building, which is based opposite the seaside - We work with children aged 0 to 18 who are our Children in Care - Supporting their care plans, aiding their transition into adulthood, thinking about potential rehabilitation plans for our children with their families - Candidates will need experience, skills and knowledge of the statutory duties around Children in Care - We are an Ofsted rated OUTSTANDING Local Authority and strive to care for our children Candidate profile - Social Work England registration or confirmed eligibility where the role requires qualified social work practice. - Relevant social care experience in a UK local authority, community, safeguarding or provider setting. - Right to work, professional references and role-specific compliance before placement. - Children's services experience, including statutory, safeguarding, assessment or family support work where required. - Adult services, hospital discharge, assessment or community social care experience where relevant. Pay, rota and consent
