Role focus - Middlesbrough Council is wanting to appoint 6 experienced social workers within their Safeguarding and Care Planning team to support our delivery of care to children in our care - These roles whilst case holding social workers will be paid at the Advanced Practitioner rate - Please note we will not be accepting/interviewing any worker that is currently working for one of the 12 North East Local Authorities either agency or permanent, unless they are in a active notice period - This will be checked as part of our screening process - Experience children's social workers to work within our safeguarding and care planning team Candidate profile - Social work registration with Social Work England, SSSC, Social Care Wales or NISCC as applicable to the role location, or confirmed eligibility where qualified practice is required. - Relevant social care experience in a UK local authority, community, safeguarding or provider setting. - Right to work, professional references and role-specific compliance before placement. - Children's services experience, including statutory, safeguarding, assessment or family support work where required. Pay and representation - Public rate shown: GBP 27.03/hr PAYE. - Verovian will confirm availability, compliance position, location fit and consent before any client submission. - Client identity and full submission details are handled through the recruiter-led process.

Pay, rota and consent
Published pay/rate: GBP 27.03/hr PAYE. Working pattern: 2026-09-28 to 2027-01-17; 09:00-17:00. Setting: Local authority, community social care or provider service. Before representation, Verovian will confirm pay or rate, working pattern, location expectations, client context and what information you consent to share.
