Role focus - We have a great opportunity for a new Consultant Social Worker to join our award winning Kinship Team to support children to have stability and permanence with their extended family members or friends - We are driven to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people through the completion of high quality assessments and comprehensive support packages for our kinship carers, who are highly valued and well respected - We are looking for someone who is passionate about their work and has a real understanding of the needs of Kinship Carers and their children - We are looking for someone who can make sensible decisions in line with regulations and best practice, someone who is curious and knowledgeable about safeguarding and good care, and who is committed to helping children and families/friends to stay together - Consultant Social Worker in the Kinship team - What you will do: - Assess and supervise Kinship carers - - Assist leadership and management of the Kinship Care Team, driving performance and ensuring high-quality, timely assessments - - Provide operational oversight and ensure best practice through robust quality assurance systems Candidate profile - Social Work England registration or confirmed eligibility where the role requires qualified social work practice. - Relevant social care experience in a UK local authority, community, safeguarding or provider setting. - Right to work, professional references and role-specific compliance before placement. - Children's services experience, including statutory, safeguarding, assessment or family support work where required. Pay, rota and consent
Published pay/rate: GBP 24.95/hr PAYE. Working pattern: 2026-07-27 to 2026-10-27; 08:30-17:00. Setting: Local authority, community social care or provider service.
