Childrens Social Care - Social Work Manager - Darlington in Darlington, United Kingdom. Role focus - Darlington Children's Services are looking to recruit an additional Agency Team Manager to provide support to the Assessment & Safeguarding Service due to increased demand and to support with the implementation of Families First Reforms - The key responsibilities of the role will include - - Provide strong management oversight, quality assurance and risk management within a busy Assessment and Safeguarding service - - Deliver consistent supervision, support and professional challenge to Social Workers, ASYEs and Newly Qualified Social Workers - - Maintain oversight of assessments, plans and decision-making, ensuring timely progression and high-quality practice - Post is 37 hours per week, hours worked over can be claimed via TOIL - Blended working available - All remote working and IT equipment provided - This is an additional management post to work alongside the established 5 A&S Team Manager to meet current demand and support needs as the Families First reforms are implemented Candidate profile - Social work registration with Social Work England, SSSC, Social Care Wales or NISCC as applicable to the role location, or confirmed eligibility where qualified practice is required. - Relevant social care experience in a UK local authority, community, safeguarding or provider setting. - Right to work, professional references and role-specific compliance before placement. - Children's services experience, including statutory, safeguarding, assessment or family support work where required. Pay and representation - Public rate shown: GBP 28.72/hr PAYE. - Verovian will confirm availability, compliance position, location fit and consent before any client submission. - Client identity and full submission details are handled through the recruiter-led process.

Pay, rota and consent
Published pay/rate: GBP 28.72/hr PAYE. Working pattern: 2026-09-07 to 2027-03-31; 08:30-17:00. Setting: Local authority, community social care or provider service.
