Role focus - 🔹 Agency Team Manager Opportunity - Short-Term Sickness Cover and Progression 🔹 We're seeking an experienced Agency Team Manager to provide short-term cover within a busy and fast-paced Children's Social Work Team for up to 6 months You will lead and support social workers managing a complex caseload across: ✅ Safeguarding ✅ Public Law Outline (PLO) ✅ Care Proceedings and Court Work ✅ Child Protection and Children in Need Planning This is an excellent opportunity for a confident manager with strong decision-making skills, experience of driving performance, and the ability to provide effective oversight within a demanding frontline service - Provide day-to-day management and supervision to social workers and family workers - Oversee safeguarding, Child in Need, Child Protection, PLO and care proceedings cases - Ensure high-quality assessments, plans, reports and court documentation are completed within timescales - Chair and contribute to key meetings, including legal planning meetings, strategy discussions and case direction meetings - Provide robust case oversight, management decision-making and risk assessment - Monitor team performance, caseloads and statutory compliance Candidate profile - Relevant social care experience in a UK local authority, community, safeguarding or provider setting. - Right to work, professional references and role-specific compliance before placement. - Children's services experience, including statutory, safeguarding, assessment or family support work where required. Pay and representation - Public rate shown: GBP 28.72/hr PAYE. - Verovian will confirm availability, compliance position, location fit and consent before any client submission. - Client identity and full submission details are handled through the recruiter-led process.

Pay, rota and consent
Published pay/rate: GBP 28.72/hr PAYE. Working pattern: 2026-09-15 to 2026-11-30; 08:30-17:00. Setting: Local authority, community social care or provider service. Before representation, Verovian will confirm pay or rate, working pattern, location expectations, client context and what information you consent to share.
